Max Mara faux fur coat with wide leg trousers outfit | The Fashion Square

I’m building this around a knit-and-trouser column rather than a dress so the faux-fur coat can sit back as the statement texture, not compete with another head-to-toe knit. Taupe-on-taupe through the top and wide-leg trouser elongates the body, with sand boots softening the transition and a chocolate suede bag adding just enough contrast. The result is a quietly rich winter ensemble that feels cocooning, grown-up and utterly coherent for city days and low-key dinners.

S Max Mara Wool ribbed crew neck sweater — The taupe ribbed knit mirrors the coat’s tone and texture for a calm column of color that keeps the outfit relaxed yet polished.

S Max Mara Wool tailored trousers — The high-waist wide-leg taupe trouser creates a long, fluid line under the plush coat, balancing its volume and matching the quiet-luxury formality.

Mm6 Maison Margiela Calf hair ankle boots — The sand Mm6 ankle boots echo the coat’s softness and keep the palette light, while the mid block heel grounds the wide-leg trouser elegantly.

Manu Atelier cylinder shoulder bag — The dark chocolate Manu Atelier shoulder bag adds depth and structure against the soft neutrals, staying within the same luxe, tactile story without competing with the coat.

Quietly cocooned, like you are wrapped in your own calm. The long tonal column under the coat is what keeps the volume sharp instead of bulky.
