Uma Wang velvet coat with Rick Owens wrap dress outfit | The Fashion Square

This is a moody velvet-on-velvet evening ensemble: Uma Wang’s crushed taupe coat framing Rick Owens’ draped taupe wrap column for a long, liquid line in one tonal family. Chunky yet sculpted Valentino ankle boots and a compact Etro suede clutch introduce structure and subtle metal notes, keeping the texture story rich but controlled. The result is tailored, sensual and quietly dramatic, ideal for winter dinners or gallery nights where the coat can slip off without breaking the silhouette.

Rick Owens Silk velvet draped wrap v-neck long-sleeve maxi dress — The Rick Owens taupe velvet wrap dress echoes the coat’s crushed sheen and warm brown palette while keeping the underlayer clean and tailored, avoiding the bulk and clash of blazer plus trouser under velvet outerwear.

Valentino Suede ankle boots — Valentino’s chocolate chunky-sole ankle boot matches the dress and coat tonally, gives evening-appropriate polish with subtle hardware, and its weighty sole grounds the long velvet column without feeling casual.

Etro Small leather clutch bag — Etro’s caramel suede clutch-shoulder bag sits in the same warm brown family as the coat, keeps to a refined scale for evening, and its antique gold hardware quietly ties back to the boots’ metal detail.

For winter dinners that start with a grand entrance. The long vertical line matters here, so keep everything under the coat close to the body to let the velvet do the work.
